Toby Tumarkin and Patrick Martins invented The New York City
Trivia Game, Howell Burnell designed and illustrated it, and Tatiana
Sperhacke typeset the cards. The game was made possible by Bob
Annibale.
Patrick Martins first saw New York when he was born and taken
under the Klingenstein Pavilion awning at Mt. Sinai hospital in
1972. Patrick went onto to study at Vassar and NYU where he received
his Masters in Performance Studies. Patrick is the President of
Slow Food USA and editor-in-chief of its quarterly magazine.
Toby Tumarkin grew up on the East Side, and attended the Ethical
Culture Fieldston schools.
After studying Psychology at Vassar College, he went on to receive
his Post-Graduate in Voice at The Trinity College of Music in
London. Toby is a Vice President at Columbia Artists Management.
Bob Annibale was born in New York before Patrick and Toby. He
went on to study History and Political Science, at Vassar College,
and at the University of London, where he received his Masters
in African History. He subsequently lived in Athens, Bahrain,
Nairobi and London, before returning to live on Union Square in
New York. Bob is a Managing Director at Citigroup and is on a
number of academic and non-profit boards.
Born in Ann Arbor, Howell Burnell studied at the University of
London before he ever visited New York. He made up for this by
earning an MFA in Design at the School of Visual Arts and is now
Principal Designer at Charlie Creative.
Tatiana Sperhacke typeset all 600 NYTG cards. She is from Brazil
where for seven years she ran her own design studio. She is a
graduate of the Masters program in Design at the School of Visual
Arts in New York.
